Fort Hays State (14-9, 7-7 MIAA) at
Central Oklahoma (16-7, 9-5 MIAA)

Saturday, February 9 - 3:30 pm
Edmond, Okla. - Hamilton Field House

Fort Hays State continues its two-game road swing in Oklahoma on Saturday at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Game time is 3:30 pm at Hamilton Field House. It will be a battle of teams currently fifth and sixth respectively in the MIAA standings. FHSU enters at 14-9 overall, 7-7 in the MIAA, while Central Oklahoma is 16-7 overall, 9-5 in the MIAA.

The Tigers snapped a four-game losing skid in road games on Thursday night with a thrilling 98-89 double overtime win at Northeastern State. Hadley Gillum finished one point shy of his career high in scoring with 35 points, while adding 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Marcus Cooper picked up his first double-double of the season by dominating the boards, finishing with 17 rebounds to go with 20 points. Brady Werth nearly had a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Central Oklahoma has won its last two games, including a 77-69 decision over Nebraska-Kearney in Edmond on Thursday night. The Bronchos are two games clear of the Tigers in the conference standings for fifth place and just one back of Missouri Southern for fourth place. The Bronchos are 9-2 at home so far this year.

Fort Hays State won last year's meeting with Central Oklahoma in Edmond in nail-biting fashion, 67-66. The Tigers claimed the last three contests between the teams, including a regular season sweep of the series last year.

After his big night in Tahlequah, Gillum upped his season scoring average to 17.3 points per game, now ranking fifth in the MIAA. His 6.7 rebounds per game rate ranks ninth in the conference. Werth is the only other Tiger averaging double figures at 11.7 points per game.

The Bronchos have three starters that average double figures in scoring, led by Marqueese Grayson at 12.6 points per game. Corbin Byford averages 12.4 points per game and Marquis Johnson adds 10.2 per game.
