The Fort Hays State men's soccer team will face Rogers State in the semifinals of the GAC tournament on Friday (Nov. 12), with kickoff slated for 3 p.m. from Bethany, Okla. The Tigers captured the No. 2 seed after finishing the regular season at 11-5-2 and 8-3-1 in conference action, while the Hillcats are the No. 3 seed after wrapping up the year 11-4-3 overall and 7-3-2 in the GAC.

The Tigers were very successful in the second half of conference play, winning five out of six matches before falling to Southern Nazarene for the regular season title. Blake Arndt continues to lead the Tigers in scoring with nine goals on the season and Taisei Arima is right behind him with eight on the season and six in the last seven games. Kieran Brown has had a stellar season in goal for the Tigers posting 65 saves (fifth in FHSU history), 0.79 goals allowed per match (third in FHSU history), and a .823 save percentage (third in FHSU history).

The Rogers State Hillcats wrapped up the regular season with a 1-1 draw at home against Harding. The Hillcats have outscored opponents 30-16 so far this season and have posted 54 saves. The Tigers boasted a 3-1 victory over the Hillcats earlier this season and also managed a scoreless draw in Hays just a few weeks ago. The all-time series between these two teams sits at 3-1-3 in favor of the Tigers, with the lone RSU victory coming in 2017.
