Fort Hays State will play at Northeastern State on Saturday (Nov. 6) at 1 pm. This is the final regular season road game for the Tigers this year with just two games remaining on the schedule overall. FHSU enters at 4-5, while NSU is 2-7.
 
The last time FHSU and NSU met was during the 2019 season. The Tigers won that contest by a score of 91-7 in Tahlequah. The 84-point margin was the largest over a collegiate opponent in FHSU program history. The Tigers own a six-game win streak over the RiverHawks, which encompasses all six meetings in MIAA play going back to the 2014 season. FHSU has won the last three meetings in Tahlequah.
 
The Tigers have two games left to potentially keep their streak of consecutive winning seasons alive. The Tigers have put together a winning record seven straight seasons going back to 2013. They will need to win their last two to push that streak to eight.
 
After going 0-11 in both 2018 and 2019, Northeastern State has two wins this season. The RiverHawks won 21-17 in Week 2 at Missouri Southern, then won 49-48 in overtime in Week 4 at Lincoln. NSU has lost its last five games, most recently a 35-0 setback at Washburn. NSU is winless in five tries at home so far this season.
 
Chance Fuller is nearing a pair of career passing records at FHSU. He is just one passing touchdown shy of the school record of 60 held by Jacob Mezera, and 616 yards shy of Mezera's passing yards mark (7,682). Fuller became the fourth quarterback in FHSU history to reach 7,000 passing yards in last week's contest against Emporia State.
 
Adrian Soto ranks seventh in NCAA Division II for all-purpose yards, averaging 163.1 per game. He leads the Tigers in rushing at 74.4 yards per game and he's third on the team in receiving yards per game at 44.1.
 
Manny Ramsey currently ranks 10^th in NCAA Division II for receptions per game (6.9), which leads the MIAA. He ranks second in the MIAA in receiving yards per game (86.5).
 
On the defensive side of the ball, Myles Menges continues to lead FHSU in tackles with 69. By starting the last four weeks at linebacker alongside Menges, John Johnson has elevated to second on the team in tackles with 54. He has 44 over that four-week span. Jordan Starks leads the team in interceptions with two and has 50 tackles. He is tied for the team lead in pass breakups with four alongside Jhimon Preston, who has 52 tackles for the season. Dalton Kuhn, Naszir Mallory, and Javaris Sanders are tied for the team lead in sacks with three each.
