FHSU Men Host Central Christian Tuesday Night

Fort Hays State Men's Basketball returns to the floor on Tuesday (Nov. 22) night hosting Central Christian College at 7 p.m. The Tigers are coming off a thrilling 68-66 win over MSU Denver on Sunday and enter the game at 3-1 overall. Central Christian enters at 3-4 overall.
 
After falling in its first contest of the season, Fort Hays State has won three straight games. The Tigers are 2-0 at home so far with wins over Bethel College and MSU Denver. The Tigers are outscoring opponents by an average of 9.7 points per game so far and outrebounding opponents by an average of five per game. The Tigers are one of the top free-throw shooting teams in NCAA Division II so far this year at 88.3 percent as a team (68-of-77), ranking third nationally.
 
Kaleb Hammeke is leading the Tiger scoring effort so far at 15.0 points per game, while Elijah Nnanabu is also averaging double figures at 12.3 per game.
 
Fort Hays State has won all 20 previous meetings with Central Christian, including an 82-40 win in Hays last year. All but one of the meetings occurred since the 2000-01 season, but the first meeting was all the way back in 1945-46.
 
Central Christian is averaging 75.1 points per game this season, while allowing 82 per game. The Tigers from McPherson are -3.9 in rebounding margin this season, but +3.9 in turnover margin.
