Fort Hays State Men's Soccer hosts the 6th-ranked team in the nation, the Midwestern State Mustangs, Wednesday (Sept. 13) at 5 p.m. Fort Hays State comes into the match 1-3-0, while the Mustangs are 3-0-1.
 
Fort Hays State is back at home after two matches in the Kansas City area last week. The Tigers have scored in every game this year, and rank third amongst teams in the Great American Conference for goals scored. The Tigers also are leading the GAC with seven assists so far this season. The Tigers are averaging 11 shots per match, posting a .454 shots on goal percentage.
 
Blake Arndt is currently second in goals scored in the GAC/MIAA with three, while Alex Plimmer is tied for second in the conference in assists with two. Arndt and Plimmer have six points apiece, ranking them within the top five of the GAC/MIAA.
 
The 6th-ranked Mustangs are coming off a 5-0 home victory against MSU Denver. Midwestern State has scored 11 goals and put 26 shots on goal so far this season. The Mustangs lead the Lone Star Conference with 2.75 goals per match, along with a conference leading 0.50 goals allowed per match.
 
The Tigers are 0-3-0 all-time against the Mustangs. This is the last non-conference match before the Tigers start GAC play next week.
