The Fort Hays State men's soccer team, ranked No. 5 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, is set to host a pair of Oklahoma teams this week in Hays (Oct. 23 & 25). The Tigers, 11-0-2 overall and 7-0  in GAC play, host Southern Nazarene (5-5-2, 3-3-1 GAC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. before taking on No. 17 ranked Rogers State (9-1-3 overall, 5-1-1 GAC) on Saturday at 1 p.m. These will be the final two home matches of the regular season for FHSU.
Fort Hays State climbed one spot in the latest national rankings following a dominant 4-0 win against Newman in Hays and a 3-2 win over Northeastern in Tahlequah. The Tigers have scored 15 goals in their last four matches while only allowing the two goals to Northeastern State in that stretch.
Fort Hays State has the second-best scoring offense in NCAA Division II at 3.15 goals per match, while ranking first nationally in goal differential at +35. The Tigers are among the nation's best in several categories, also leading in points per match (9.54), assists per match (3.23), total assists (42), corner kicks per match (8.08), and total goals (41). They rank second nationally in shutout percentage (.692) and fourth in shots per match (18.54).
The Tigers garnered more individual accolades on Tuesday (Oct. 21) with the Offensive Player of the Week and Co-Defender of the Week in the GAC. 
Bastian Carlman earned Offensive Player of the Week after totaling three goals last week. 
Oliver Wright was named Co-Defender of the Week, earning the award for a second-straight week after helping the Tigers to their ninth shutout of the season and then scoring a pair of goals in the win over Northeastern State. Wright is red hot of late with five goals in the last four matches, all on headers in the box off throw-ins from 
Joseph Street.
Street is now ranked third in the nation with nine assists. 
Payton Roehrich ranks fifth in the nation in goals against average (.431).
Southern Nazarene is coming off a 4-2 win against Harding last week. SNU comes into the match Thursday with a record of 5-5-2 overall, 3-3-1 in conference action. The Crimson Storm are led by Junior Duran, Tiago Moreira, and Kaden Slaven, all with 3 goals on the season. FHSU defeated SNU by a score of 2-1 earlier this season in Bethany.
Rogers State will play at Newman on Thursday before its second ranked matchup of the season with the Tigers. The Hillcats are No. 17 in the latest national rankings. Rogers State is coming off 1-1 tie with Ouachita Baptist this past weekend. RSU is led by Brandon O'Rourke with four goals and two assists on the season. FHSU won the first meeting of the season between the teams 4-0 in Claremore when FHSU was ranked No. 13 and RSU was No. 8. FHSU is 1-0-1 in matchups with top 25 teams this year.
