Fort Hays State Men's Soccer is set to wrap the regular season on Thursday night (Nov. 6) at Newman University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Wichita. Entering at 14-0-3 overall and 10-0-1 in the GAC, the Tigers have already locked up the GAC regular season title and will serve as GAC Tournament hosts next week. Newman goes into the match 7-4-5 overall and 4-3-3 in the GAC.

The Tigers will need to be ready for a challenge as the Jets are among a three-team race for the final two spots in the GAC Tournament. FHSU and Rogers State are the only locks for the GAC Tournament so far, while Newman and Northeastern State each have 15 points in the GAC standings and Southern Nazarene has 14 points entering Thursday.

The Tigers remained No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll for the second-straight week. FHSU and No. 1 ranked Charleston (W.Va.) are tied for the best win-loss-tie percentage in the nation, both at 14-0-3. In the most recent edition of NCAA Super Region Rankings, Fort Hays State is the No. 1 ranked team in Super Region 3.

The Tigers have been a dominant offensive force all season, leading the GAC with 51 goals. The Tigers lead the nation in goal differential, currently at +45 with just six goals allowed for the season. FHSU has 13 shutouts as a team. Seventeen different Tigers have contributed to the goal scoring, with
Elias Ovelar Semeniuk (11) and
Bastian Carlman (6) leading the way.

Newman has the second-best scoring offense in the GAC, averaging 1.75 goals per match behind FHSU's 3.0 per contest. Leading the Charge is Gabriel Dias Juliani who ranks third in the conference in goals with seven. FHSU won the first meeting with Newman this season 4-0 in Hays. Historically, Fort Hays State holds an 13-2 series lead.
