Denver, Colo. – Auraria Event Center

Fort Hays State Men's Basketball heads west on I-70 this week to Denver, where they play a pair of non-conference games. The Tigers start the trip with MSU Denver on Thursday night with the game set for 8:30 p.m. CT / 7:30 p.m. MT. The Tigers enter at 6-3 overall, while the Roadrunners are 3-7 overall.

The Tigers are coming off a 78-59 win over William Jewell back on Saturday. The game was tied 29-29 at the half, but FHSU outscored WJC 49-30 in the second half for the win. Kyle Grill led the way for FHSU with 22 points.

MSU Denver started the year 1-7 overall, but won its last two games this past week in conference play on the road at Western Colorado and Westminster (Utah). The Roadrunners are 1-3 on their home floor so far this year, their only win being over Sul Ross State back on November 17.

MSU Denver holds a 15-13 advantage in the all-time series, but FHSU has won two of the three meetings between the schools over the last three seasons. Both of those wins were in Hays, while the Roadrunners took the one meeting in that stretch in Denver in overtime. FHSU won last year's meeting 66-50 in Hays when MSU Denver held a No. 22 ranking in the NABC Top 25.

Dan Mukuna leads the Tigers with a 17.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game average. Grill is also averaging double figures in scoring at 13.6 points per game, while adding 5.7 rebounds per contest.

Quave Propst-Allison leads the Roadrunners in scoring at 16.4 points per game, followed closely by Logan Threatt at 16.3 per game. MSU Denver has four players averaging double figures in scoring.
