Second Half Goal Lifts Vikings Past Tigers 1-0

HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State women's soccer (0-3-0) came up short in a competitive 1-0 defeat to Augustana University (2-0-1) on Friday night (Sept. 12) at FHSU Soccer Stadium. The match was scoreless at the half, but saw the Vikings break through with the only goal of the match about 18 minutes into the second half.

The Vikings took the lead in the 63rd minute when Ally Hamski threaded a ball through the Tiger defense to Madelyn White, who prevailed in a one-on-one situation with Tiger keeper Hadley Ostrander. The Tiger keeper had a strong night, making several key saves earlier to keep the game level.
