Fort Hays State men's soccer is set to host a pair of non-conference matches this weekend at FHSU Soccer Stadium. The No. 20 ranked Tigers are 2-0-2 overall, coming off a 2-0 win in a neutral site match with Thomas More. They face Lubbock Christian (1-3) on Thursday (Sept. 18^th) at 7 p.m., then Jamestown (1-3) on Saturday (Sept. 20) at 7 p.m.
 
Fort Hays state holds a 1-0 advantage in its all-time series with Lubbock Christian. FHSU won the only matchup in 2015 by a 4-0 count in Hays. The meeting with Jamestown will be the first in program history.
 
The Tigers continue to show encouraging signs offensively. Juan Linares and Elias Ovelar Semeniuk are tied for the team lead in goals at two each. Ovelar Semeniuk leads the team overall in points with 5. Dimitry Tchantcheu earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors in the GAC last week for his performance in a pair of shutouts. Payton Roehrich has only allowed only two goals in four matches. He has 3 shutouts for the season.
 
Lubbock Christian enters Thursday at 1-3 record overall, coming off a pair of losses last weekend. LCU is led by Pedro Lucas who has three of their six goals on the season. Five Chaparrals have assisted on goals this season.
 
Jamestown enters the weekend 1-3 overall as well. Jake Simson leads the Jimmies with three goals. He and Felipe Costa lead the team with six points.
