HAYS, Kan. — Fort Hays State and Missouri Southern State played to a scoreless draw on Friday night (Sept. 26) at FHSU Soccer Stadium. The Tigers recorded 17 shots, but just two on goal, while holding their opponent to four shots with only one on target. It was the third-straight clean sheet for FHSU, despite having to settle for the tie. FHSU is now 2-3-1 overall, 0-0-1 in the MIAA, while MSSU went to 2-3-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the MIAA.
Fort Hays State recorded 12 of its 17 shots in the first half, while Missouri Southern attempted all four of its shots in the opening half. The Tigers kept the Lions from taking any viable shots in the second half. MSSU keeper Bella Smith recorded two saves, while FHSU keeper

Fort Hays State continues MIAA play on Sunday (Sept. 28), playing host to Pittsburg State for the first time at FHSU Soccer Stadium. The Gorillas just started their women's soccer program last year and FHSU won the initial meeting in Pittsburg. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. in Hays.
