KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State Men's Basketball moved back into the receiving votes list in the latest NABC Top 25 Poll, released on Tuesday (Jan. 20). The Tigers received the seventh-most votes of the teams in the receiving votes list sitting outside of the top 25. FHSU is 13-4 overall for the season and has been in the receiving votes list several times already this season.
Washburn continues its run at No. 1 in the nation, still undefeated at 18-0 overall for the season. Arkansas-Fort Smith is the only other MIAA school among the top 25, now No. 16 at 13-3. However, Arkansas-Fort Smith has lost its last three games after a 13-0 start to the season, which has the Lions all the way up to No. 5 in the nation.
Fort Hays State is the only other MIAA school referenced in the latest poll. The Tigers are currently among a six-way tie for second place in the MIAA standings, but have the best overall record of the cluster. This is the fourth regular season poll the Tigers have been among the receiving votes list, and they were also part of the list in the preseason poll.
