NEW ORLEANS - The Fort Hays State men's and women's cross country teams were both named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams for the 2025 season, announced Thursday (Jan. 29) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. In addition, six student-athletes earned All-Academic Athlete distinction.

Representing the women's team on the All-Academic Athlete list was
Emily Diercks McCullough,
Taylor Hoskinson and
Emma Weiner, while
Christian Darrah,
Cole Krug and
Noah Morenz all received the honor from the men's team.

It is the third-such recognition for McCullough, the second for Hoskinson, Weiner and Morenz and the first for Darrah and Krug.

The women's cross country team earned the honor for the 19th-consecutive season, while the men achieved the honor for the 14th time since 2005 and the 11th time in a row dating back to 2014. The women's cross country team finished the year with a team GPA of 3.71, while the men turned in a team GPA of 3.57.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
