KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Fort Hays State men's soccer team continues to hold right around the same spot in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. FHSU moved down one spot in the latest edition released on Tuesday (Oct. 13), now at No. 14. The Tigers held the same ranking three weeks ago, and the past two weeks were ranked No. 13.
Â
Fort Hays State and Rogers State represent the Great American Conference in the latest Top 25. The Hillcats are ranked No. 25 this week. Southern Nazarene continues to receive votes.
Â
FHSU has been listed in the top 25 in all eight releases of the poll this season and in 23 consecutive polls dating back to October 2024, extending the longest streak in program history.
Â
The United Soccer Coaches Top 25 has no bearing on the new NCAA NPI rankings, released for the first time this season on Monday. The NPI rankings have FHSU ranked ninth in Super Region 3. Ten teams will make the Super Regional field for the NCAA Tournament.
Â
The Tigers go into this week with an overall record of 8-2-3 and a conference mark of 6-0-1. FHSU plays at Northeastern State on Thursday evening (Oct. 15) before taking on Newman Saturday afternoon (Oct. 17).
Â
Fort Hays State is now unbeaten in 33-straight matches against Great American Conference teams, excluding the NCAA Tournament (played Rogers State in the national quarterfinals last year). The streak started during the 2024 season (12 matches), continued all through the 2025 season (14 matches), and through the first seven conference matches this season. The 33-match streak is now the fourth-best in NCAA Division II history, three shy of second best owned by Mercyhurst (1996-2002) and Colorado School of Mines (2017-2019).
