KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Fort Hays State men's soccer team returned to the top 10 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, with the Tigers listed ninth in the country as announced Tuesday (Oct. 27) by the coaches organization.

FHSU has been listed in the top 25 in all 10 releases of the poll this season and in 25 consecutive polls dating back to October 2024, extending the longest streak in program history. The Tigers are one of two GAC schools inside the top 25 this week, with Rogers State holding on to the No. 25 spot.

The United Soccer Coaches Top 25 has no bearing on the new NCAA NPI rankings. In the third release of the rankings on Monday (Oct. 26), FHSU was ranked third in Super Region 3. Ten teams will make the Super Regional field for the NCAA Tournament.

With one match remaining in the regular season, the Tigers carry an overall record of 12-2-3 and a conference mark of 10-0-1. FHSU wraps up the regular season Wednesday (Oct. 28) when the Tigers host Southern Nazarene beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Tigers will then host the GAC Championship Tournament November 5-7 at FHSU Soccer Stadium.

Fort Hays State is now unbeaten in 37-straight matches against Great American Conference teams in the regular season and conference tournament, the second-longest streak in NCAA Division II history. The streak started during the 2024 season (12 matches), continued all through the 2025 season (14 matches), and through the first 11 conference matches this season. Southern Connecticut State has the longest streak in history at 46, accomplished from 1995-2000.
