Women’s Soccer Wraps 2026 Season with 1-1 Draw at UNK

KEARNEY, Neb. — Fort Hays State completed its 2026 season on Wednesday (Oct. 28) with a conference contest at Nebraska-Kearney. The Tigers and Lopers played to a 1-1 draw in the season finale for both teams. FHSU completed its season 2-10-5 overall and 0-8-4 in the MIAA, while UNK finished at 3-10-5 overall and 1-8-3 in the MIAA.

The Tigers put nine of their 13 shots on goal in the match. FHSU scored first in the match when Berkley Sparks collected a crossing pass from Grace Prescott in the 20th minute. However, the Lopers answered about 10 minutes later on a goal by Billie Forrest. The game went to halftime tied 1-1 and stood the same the rest of the way.

Katie Stoskopf made seven saves in the match and finished with 87 for the season, tied for the third most in program history for a season.

The Tigers generated 10 second-half shots and put six on goal, but never found a go-ahead goal. Sparks led the Tigers with five shots, all on frame. UNK goalkeeper Susie Bovaird made eight saves overall, including six in the second half.
