LILBURN, Ga. - The Fort Hays State women's basketball team crept up another spot in the WBCA national poll this week (Feb. 17), now sitting at No. 6 in the nation.

This is the fourth time this season the Tigers have been ranked sixth in the country. FHSU is 6-0 when ranked No. 6 on the year.

The Tigers accumulated 457 points in the balloting process, up from 423 last week. FHSU is just 18 points out of the top five. Minnesota State Mankato, the lone unbeaten team in Division II, remains a unanimous No. 1. The Central Region boasts three teams in the top 10, with Harding climbing one spot to No. 10 this week. Pittsburg State fell to No. 25 this week, while Central Missouri is still receiving votes.

The Tigers are one of only four teams to rank inside the top 10 of all 14 polls released by the WBCA during the 2025-26 season. Fort Hays State has occupied seven of those top 10 spots at some point this season, ranking as high as No. 3 in weeks one and three and as low as No. 9 in the preseason.

This is the 13th time Fort Hays State has been ranked sixth in the coaches poll during the program's Division II era. FHSU is 19-3 when ranked sixth, 207-50 overall when ranked and 153-30 when ranked inside the top 10.

The Tigers have now been ranked 134 times in the program's DII era, including 93 appearances inside the top 10. FHSU is 208-50 all-time when ranked and 154-30 when ranked inside the top 10.

Now 23-2 overall, tied for the ninth-most wins in team history, and 14-2 in league play, the Tigers will hit the road for the final time during the regular season beginning Thursday (Feb. 19, 5:30 p.m.) when they take on Missouri Southern in Joplin, Mo.
