LILBURN, Ga. - The Fort Hays State women's basketball team will head into the NCAA Division II Championship tournament ranked 14th in the country, announced Tuesday (March 10) by the WBCA.

This is the first time in program history that the Tigers have been ranked 14th in the coaches poll. Fort Hays State has been listed in the WBCA Top 25 137 times, including each of the last 35 polls dating back to the start of last season. FHSU is 209-53 all-time when ranked.

The Tigers are one of six teams in the eight-team Central Regional mentioned in this week's poll alongside fifth-ranked Minnesota State, 20th-ranked Harding, 22nd-ranked Concordia-St. Paul and Northwestern Oklahoma State and Central Missouri who are both receiving votes.

FHSU will take on the 20th-ranked Lady Bisons in the regional quarterfinal on Friday (March 13) beginning at noon in Mankato, Minn. The Tigers are 3-0 against ranked opponents this season.
