"We are very excited to have Madyson join our team to help enhance and direct our creative vision for FHSU Athletics," said FHSU Sports Information Director
Ryan Prickett. "With a solid foundation already built, elevating our presence in the social and digital space is crucial for our visibility to recruits, alumni, and donors, while telling the stories and celebrating the many accomplishments of our student-athletes here at Fort Hays State. We look forward to this position enhancing our engagement on a broader scale."
Schliep will be an asset to help guide a talented group of student workers the FHSU Athletics communications team has assembled to help enhance Fort Hays State's visibility in the social and digital landscape. "We have been blessed with very talented student workers in recent years who have concentrated efforts into videography, photography, and graphic design, and they will now have a leader to consistently guide them in helping grow the visibility of FHSU Athletics," Prickett added.
In addition to the day-to-day operations of serving as a sports information director and overseeing communications for 18 NCAA Division II sports at Adams State, Schliep devoted a significant amount of her time to creative content. She also supervised and trained student assistants in various media and technical roles. A concentration in creative content was a big part of her role as an athletic marketing graduate assistant at Chadron State College, another NCAA Division II institution, before becoming the sports information director at Adams State in 2024. At Chadron State, she helped execute social media campaigns, designed graphics, and contributed to the daily athletic media relations operation following her career as a track and field student-athlete. The Grand Island, Nebraska native earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees at Chadron State.
