CLEVELAND - The Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) announced the 2025-26 recipients of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award on Wednesday (Aug. 26), with a school-record 150 Fort Hays State University student-athletes earning the award.
 
All 17 FHSU programs had at least three student-athlete earn the distinction, led by 19 recipients from the football team and followed closely by 18 members of the men's track and field team. Five other programs had at least a dozen honorees, including women's soccer (14), women's track and field (14), women's wrestling (14), men's soccer (12) and men's wrestling (12).
 
In order to receive an Academic Achievement Award from the D2ADA, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, complete a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and be an active member of an intercollegiate team during the 2025-26 season.
