KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State running back AG Floyd was named the MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week, presented by FieldTurf, on Monday (Sept. 21) after his performance in the 42-17 win for Fort Hays State over Pittsburg State.
 
Floyd ran for a season and career-high 145 yards in the 25-point win over the Gorillas. He scored four touchdowns on rushes of 14, 13, 9 and 5 yards, finishing one shy of the FHSU single-game record for touchdowns. He finished with 148 all-purpose yards, adding a 3-yard reception to his 24 carries running the ball. The 145 rushing yards was the most by an FHSU player since November 16, 2024 when Shane Watts rushed for 175 against Nebraska-Kearney.
 
Floyd joined JC Heim of Washburn (Defensive Athlete of the Week) and Kaden Kiernan of Nebraska-Kearney (Special Teams Athlete of the Week) as the weekly honorees from the MIAA office.
