Doug Boucher enters his 11th year as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Fort Hays State University in 2024. He coordinates with all athletic programs at FHSU.
Coach Boucher came to Fort Hays State University from training athletes in his strength and conditioning facility, Power Zone, located in Smith Center, Kansas. With Power Zone, individual athletes would train using the latest technology. Boucher also traveled to high schools and colleges conducting strength training, nutrition, and speed seminars, teaching all aspects of strength and conditioning.Â
Boucher brought 30 years of coaching experience to FHSU, where his teams have achieved championships in multiple sports at multiple levels. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for over two decades. His experience ranges from high school to the collegiate ranks. Coach Boucher has also coached seven players signed by NFL teams.
Boucher, a native of Smith Center, Kan., is a 1984 graduate of Kansas State University. With Merrie his wife of 42 years, they have two children and four grandchildren.
