Nick Verbeck enters his second season as an assistant football coach at Fort Hays State University in 2021. He will serve as an assistant coach for the offense.
Verbeck comes to Fort Hays State from Truman State University, where he was a standout offensive lineman. He was a member of the Bulldog football team for five years and started all 33 games on the offensive line over his final three years. He was a two-time All-GLVC performer, earning second-team honors as a guard during his sophomore season of 2016, then first-team honors at center during his senior season of 2018. He was also a Don Hansen Football Committee All-Super Region 3 Third Team selection at center in 2018. He helped the Bulldogs to a GLVC Championship in 2016 and 24 wins over his four years on the field for Truman.
A native of Geneseo, Illinois, Verbeck graduated from Truman State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders.
