Felix Tellez Ramirez enters his second year as an assistant coach at Fort Hays State. In his first year on the sideline, Tellez Ramirez helped FHSU to an NCAA national semifinal appearance, GAC/MIAA regular season and tournament titles, and the program's first-ever 20-win season by going 20-1-3 overall and remaining unbeaten through the first 23 matches of the season. 

Tellez Ramirez wrapped up his collegiate career as a student-athlete at Fort Hays State in 2024, helping the Tigers to 13-4-4 record overall, a GAC/MIAA Tournament Championship, and an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Tellez Ramirez started his collegiate career at Newman University, where he was a three-time all-conference second team performer for the Jets over four years. He was named the MIAA Player of the Week three times at Newman. With a year left as a graduate, Tellez Ramirez came to Fort Hays State for a year where he earned another all-conference selection and helped the Tigers to the GAC Tournament Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Originally from Almería, Spain, Tellez Ramirez developed as a player through local academies before coming to the United States at the age of 17. He graduated from Newman University as a double major in Marketing and Business Administration. He is currently working on his master’s degree at Fort Hays State University.
