Peterson Bohannon

Peterson Bohannon begins his second season as a graduate assistant for the Fort Hays State University track and field program in 2025-26.

Bohannon was an All-American and three-time national qualifier at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs from 2021-24 after competing for the University of Montana from 2018-21. He earned All-American status in the long jump at the 2022 NCAA DII Outdoor Championships, placing fifth. Bohannon won two RMAC titles at UCCS, winning the 2022 Outdoor long jump and the 2022 Indoor 4x400m relay. He racked up five All-RMAC honors, including four first-team honors and one second-team recognition. Bohannon was a four-time USTFCCCA All-Region honoree in the long jump, including a tie for the top regional performance during the 2022 outdoor season. He posted a career-best mark of 25-1.75 (7.66m) in the long jump.

A native of Yakima, Wash., Bohannon graduated from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2024.
