2011 (Fr): Redshirted the 2011 season.

Dodge City HS: Class 6A all-state selection by the Kansas Football Coaches Association in 2010…Threw for 2,347 yards and 20 touchdowns in leading the Red Demons to the state semifinals…Rushed for 935 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior. Other: Also a member of the Fort Hays State baseball team.
