2012 (Sophomore): CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team selection...Started all 11 games on the defensive line...Tied for eighth on the team in tackles with 39...Recorded two tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick...Had a season-high seven tackles against Missouri Western...Recorded the forced fumble against Lincoln and the fumble recovery at Truman...His blocked kick was in the season opener at Emporia State...Earned second FHSU letter.

2011 (Freshman): Played in all 11 games on the defensive line...Recorded 10 tackles for the season, including a season-high three against Central Missouri...Recorded tackles in five of the 11 games he played in...Earned first FHSU letter.

Dodge City HS: First team all-state selection in both football and wrestling...Two-time first team all-conference selection in football and wrestling...Western Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Year...Class 6A state champion of the heavyweight class in wrestling as a senior, going a perfect 35-0...Selected to play in the 2011 Kansas Shrine Bowl...Lettered four years in football and wrestling and one year in track and field.
