Joao Vitor Silva De Almeida joined the Fort Hays State tennis coaching staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2019.

A native of Campo Grande, Brazil, Almeida played collegiately for Southwest Baptist University from 2015-19. He compiled a record of 2-3 in singles play and a 1-1 mark in doubles action.

Almeida was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll three times and was a two-time recipient of the ITA Scholar Athlete Award.

A 2019 graduate of Southwest Baptist University, Almeida is currently pursuing a masters degree at FHSU.
