Eliane Dillard enters her third season as an assistant coach with Fort Hays State Volleyball in 2017. She helped guide FHSU to its best finish ever in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in 2016, tying for fourth place in the final standings.
Fort Hays State has earned 10 All-MIAA honors in Dillard's two years on campus, including a pair of first team honorees in 2016. Additionally, Dillard helped guide Crystal Whitten to an AVCA honorable mention All-American selection, just the fifth All-American in program history.
Dillard came to FHSU from Alabama State University, where she coached as an assistant for one year in 2014. She helped guide Alabama State to its second-consecutive conference championship in 2014 and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She helped coach four all-conference selections for the Lady Hornets.
Prior to her year at Alabama State, Dillard was an assistant coach at Homewood High School in Birmingham, Ala. She was also the head coach of the Boom Volleyball Club in Birmingham. She also had a stint as an assistant at the University of West Alabama.
Dillard also spent time as an assistant coach in Kansas in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC). She was an assistant at Independence Community College and Coffeyville Community College.
Dillard spent the final two years of her playing career at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where she was the Conference USA Newcomer of the Year in 2007. As a senior, she was an All-Conference USA First Team selection and All-Conference USA Tournament Team performer in 2008.
Prior to playing at UAB, Dillard spent two years at Cowley County Community College, where she was a two-time National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American (2005 and 2006). She was also named to the NJCAA All-Region 6 Team and was an all-conference performer in 2005 and 2006.
A native of Franca, Brazil, Dillard graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham with a degree in Foreign Language with concentration in Spanish.
