Giovanna Kuntze is in her third season at Fort Hays State and is in her first as an assistant volleyball coach in 2025-26 after serving as graduate assistant for two seasons.
The Tigers have accumulated 23 wins and have had five All-MIAA selections in Kuntze's two seasons as a graduate assistant.
Kuntze joined the Tigers after spending one year on the coaching staff at Cameron University as a graduate assistant in 2022-23. She also has previous experience as a coach in her native country of Brazil in addition to one year as a club coach in Liberal, Kan.
Kuntze completed a stellar collegiate career in 2019 with 3,103 career assists after playing two seasons at Seward County Community College, one season at Youngstown State and one season at Central Methodist College. The setter was a first team NJCAA All-American as a sophomore in 2017 after ranking fourth in the country in both assists (1,242) and assists per set (10.8). Kuntze was named Jayhawk Conference MVP that year and also earned KJCCC All-Academic honors. She helped Seward County reach the regional final and a 33-2 record in 2017 before helping Central Methodist reach the NAIA round of 16 with a 33-4 record in 2019.
Kuntze completed a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Central Methodist University in the spring of 2020 after achieving an associates degree in Liberal Arts at Seward County Community College in 2018.
