Juliana Torres joined the Tiger volleyball squad as a graduate assistant coach in January 2019.
Torres graduated from Chicago State University in December of 2018, where she was named Valedictorian of the University's fall commencement. The Joinville, Brazil native majored in Communications, Media Arts and Theatre. Torres received the CSU President's Cup Award as the senior with the highest GPA, maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She served as a student assistant of the Cougar volleyball team for two years.
Torres played one season of volleyball at Park University after competing at Eastern Florida State College for two years. The middle hitter helped Park to the national semifinals in 2016 after earning Florida College System Activities Association All-Southern Conference second team honors in 2015 at EFSC. Torres compiled a .309 attack percentage in her collegiate career (300/88/685) while totaling 208 blocks (49 solo, 159 assisted).
