Tallon Rentschler enters her first season as a graduate assistant volleyball coach at Fort Hays State after playing for the Tigers for three seasons.
The Smith Center, Kan. native played in 37 matches during her career, appearing in 110 sets. She totaled 215 digs, averaging 1.95 digs per set, while adding 16 service aces, nine kills and three assists. She reached double figures in digs 11 times in her career, including a season-high 17 digs against Nebraska-Kearney (10/25/24) as a junior. Rentschler was a CSC Academic All-District pick as a junior and was listed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll all three years.
Rentschler was the KVA 2A Player of the Year as a senior at Smith Center High School in 2021 after helping the Lady Red to their first-ever volleyball state championship. She was a KVA All-State selection all four years, including two first team picks after helping SCHS to the state site all four years.
She graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in health and human performance in the spring of 2025.
