Trevor Sullivan

Trevor Sullivan begins his second season as assistant volleyball coach at Fort Hays State in 2022. He helped the Tigers navigate the COVID-altered season in 2020-21 before helping FHSU reach the MIAA Tournament for the first time in five years in the fall of 2021.

Sullivan comes to Hays after spending two seasons as head girls volleyball coach at Palmer Ridge High School in Monument, Colo. He led the team to the Class 4A state tournament each year, winning two regional titles and finishing the 2019 season as state runner-up. The Bears were 39-18 in his two seasons at PRHS. He was named the 5A/4A Volleyball Coach of the Year by Gazette Preps after the Bears' run to the state championship game in 2019.
 
While in the Centennial State, Sullivan also served as an assistant for the nationally ranked Colorado Juniors Volleyball Club for two-and-a-half years. Additionally, Sullivan has worked in the coaching education department at USA Volleyball.
 
A native of Oswego, Ill., Sullivan played collegiately at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa from 2012-2015, helping the Vikings to a third-place finish at the 2014 NAIA National Men's Volleyball Invitational. GVU posted a record of 76-35 in his four years as a Viking.
 
Sullivan graduated from Grand View University in 2015 with a degree in health promotion and a concentration in fitness management. He also received a minor in sports management. He resides in Hays.
