2018-19 (Redshirt-Freshman): Finished 19-10 overall wrestling primarily in the 149-pound weight class...Posted records of 16-8 at 149 pounds, 3-1 at 157 pounds and 0-1 at 165 pounds...Claimed a second-place finish at the Bob Smith Open at 149 pounds...Claimed third-place finishes at the Bethany Swede Open and Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open at 149 pounds...Placed third at 157 pounds at the Kansas Cup...Finished fourth at the UNK Holiday Inn Open at 149 pounds...In dual action went 0-3 at 149 pounds and 0-1 at 165 pounds...Named to NWCA All-Academic Team and MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2017-18 (Freshman): Redshirted the 2017-18 season...Went 11-7 in tournaments wrestling unattached...Finished 2-4 vs Division II competition...Placed third at the Oklahoma City University Open...Finished fifth at the Northern Colorado Open...Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Hoisington HS: Ball will be joining his older brother Brandon, who was an All-American last season in the 141 lb class. He comprised an impressive track record during his prep years as he finished his freshman year with a fifth place finish at the KSHSAA 3-2-1A State Tournament, a runner-up finish in the state championship match at the KSHSAA 3-2-1A State Tournament in the 145 lb class his sophomore year, recorded an undefeated 42-0 record his senior season while winning the state championship at the 3-2-1A State Tournament in the 145 lb class. He finished his high school career with an overall record of 126-6. Jonathan is projected to compete at the 149 lb class.
