Brenden Sanders enters his first season as an assistant football coach at Fort Hays State. He will serve as an assistant with the defensive secondary.
Sanders came to Fort Hays State from Sterling College, where he was an assistant coach for two years. He initially served as a defensive backs coach for the Warriors before becoming the team's defensive coordinator the second season.Â
Sanders was a standout performer as a student-athlete as a defensive back at Bethel College in Kansas. He was a two-time All-KCAC First Team selection and in 2022 was named All-America Honorable Mention by the AFCA.
Sanders earned his Bachelors of Science in Health and Education with a minor in coaching from Bethel College. He is working toward a master's degree in Kinesiology from East Texas Baptist University.
