Jan Schmidtberger is the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations & Administration for Fort Hays State University Athletics. She is in her 19th year with FHSU Athletics in 2025-26, working primarily with accounts receivable and payable and ticket operations.
Schmidtberger, a native of Atwood, Kan., graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics. Prior to joining Tiger Athletics, she spent two years as the Administrative Assistant of University Relations at FHSU. She serves as a senator on the University Support Staff Senate.
Schmidtberger lives in Hays, Kan., with her husband, Neal. She has two grown children, Austin and Arin.
