Rachel Shepherd serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Fort Hays State University.
Shepherd is a native of Peoria, Arizona and graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in May 2023. While at Grand Canyon, Rachel had clinical rotations with multiple high schools and one year with GCU rugby, lacrosse, and ice hockey. As a student, she did internships with USA baseball, Section 7 basketball, and AIA state championships in cross country, wrestling, softball, and baseball.
In July 2023, Rachel moved to Hays to work as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Fort Hays State (2023-2024), working with women’s soccer, women’s wrestling and spring football. Shepherd now works with football and women’s wrestling as a full time Assistant Athletic Trainer.
