Vova Zakharov enters his first season as assistant women's tennis coach in 2025-26.
Zakharov played four years of tennis at the Division I level, starting his career at Oral Roberts for two years before playing his final two seasons at Tulsa. He was Summit League Player of the Year and Newcomer of the year as a freshman in 2020-21, picking up All-Summit League honors twice. He finished his career with a singles record of 46-28 and a doubles record of 17-14. He was twice named conference Player of the Week during his time at Tulsa, helping the Golden Hurricane to the 2024 NIT Championship as a senior.
A native of Odessa, Ukraine, Zakharov graduated from the University of Tulsa with a bachelor's degree in the spring of 2024.
