Kylee Hoagland has been named Athlete of the Week for her performance with the Fort Hays State volleyball team. The Tigers were 2-1 during the week with two road wins at Central Oklahoma and Pittsburg State and their one loss was to No. 1 Nebraska-Kearney.
For the week, Hoagland led the Tigers with 33 kills, 39.5 points and hitting percentage at .381. She added 11 blocks, six digs and two assists.
Her best best performance came in the 3-1 win over Central Oklahoma. She totaled 17 kills and hit .609. Hoagland also had two blocks, two digs and one assist.
Hoagland also hit double digits in kills in the 3-0 win over Pittsburg State, finishing with 11 kills. She hit .391 and had six blocks.
The Tigers are 2-1 in the MIAA after last week and 8-4 overall. The 2-1 MIAA record is the best start for the Tigers since joining the conference. This week, FHSU travels to Northwest Missouri State on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match then goes to Denver, Colo. for the Johnson & Wales Tournament.
