Caitlyn Wark has been named Athlete of the Week for her performance for the FHSU tennis team. The Tigers are 2-0 on the season.
Wark has been perfect in those 2-0 Tiger wins, going 4-0. In singles, Wark did not lose a game or set. She won 6-0, 6-0 over BrookeSteele of Hastings College and 6-0, 6-0 over Tia Irwin of Kansas Wesleyan. In doubles, Wark and Camille Caron-Bedard won, 8-1, over Sarah Zach/Rachel Steffan of Hastings College and won, 8-4, over Jeni Wolters/Janel Prather of Kansas Wesleyan.
At the Bethany College Fall Tournament, Wark advantaged to the single finals, but fell, 6-3, 7-6 (3-0) to Ali Sivinski of Evangel University. She went 3-1 in singles.
The Tigers are 2-0 with a 9-0 win over Hastings College and also a 8-1 win over Kansas Wesleyan. This weekend FHSU travels to Pueblo, Colo. to take on Colorado Mesa, Metro State and Colorado Christian.
