Fort Hays State's Cory Keehn not only improved his provisional time in the 5000-meter run at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. on Feb. 7-8, but he also set a new school record in the event and posted a provisional mark in the 3000-meter run. Keehn was the only Tiger to hit a provisional mark at the meet.

Keehn's time of 14:35.56 in the 5000 netted him a fifth place finish in the event. He bested former Tiger Cameron Reith's school record by just over nine seconds to become the new Tiger record holder at that distance.

In the 3000, Keehn ran the second-fastest time in school history. His time of 8:26.94 earned him a third place finish ad was just over two seconds behind his former teammate Alex Hindee's school record.
