Heidi Hines, a junior from O'Neill, Neb., had a break-out performance for FHSU at the MIAA Championships in Hays. She led the squad with a 16th place finish, helping FHSU to a fifth place finish in the event. She ran a season-best time of 22:35.

Hines transferred to FHSU prior to this season from Garden City (Kan.) Community College.
