Travis Patzner earned Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Tigers to a win over Northeastern State, 2-1, on Senior Day. Patzner scored his second goal of the season to knot the game up at 1-1 in the second half before Adrian Ramirez scored the game winner for the Tigers.

Patzner scored his first career goal in a 3-1 win over Nebraska Omaha on Oct. 14. The senior has started 15 of 16 games this season as a defender for the Tigers. The defense has held teams to an average of just one goal per game this season with Patzner playing a major role for the defense.

The Hays native was honored at halftime of the Northeastern win as the only senior on the team, which is in its inaugural season. Prior to FHSU, Patzner played at Division I IPFW and Barton CC.
