Kyle Perry earned Athlete of the Week honors for his play on the Tiger defense in a 29-14 win over Missouri Southern on Saturday, improving the FHSU's record to 4-6 on the season.
Perry, a junior from Garden City, totalled nine tackles, including 3.5 for a loss, and a game-high two sacks. His second sack of MSSU's Collin Howard in the Lion endzone put the game out of reach at 29-7 with the safety.
Perry leads the team with 5.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for a loss on the season. He has 48 tackles, a forced fumble and the safety this year as well.
The Tigers are 4-6 overall and 3-5 in the MIAA. FHSU won two of their last three games and host Missouri Western on Saturday in the season finale at 2 p.m.
