With their conference schedule complete, the Fort Hays State women's soccer team welcomes Northeastern State to the FHSU Soccer Stadium on Tuesday (Oct. 25) for a 6 p.m. non-conference contest.
The Tigers are fresh off a 4-0 win over Missouri Western to end their MIAA slate. The win upped FHSU's record to 2-6 in the MIAA and 5-10-1 in their inaugural season. The Riverhawks of Northeastern State enter Tuesday's game with a 10-3-3 record, including two ties in their last two games.

Cindy Benitez had a stellar performance, scoring two goals and adding two assists. The six total points is a season-high for the Tigers, while the two goals tie a season-high with
Joanne Glynn, who scored two goals against Missouri Western in the Tigers 2-1 win earlier in the season. Benitez now leads the team in points with 18 and assists with six. She is second in goals with six, two behind Glynn, who has eight goals.
As a team, the 10 points in the game against Missouri Western was a season-high. The previous high was nine points in a 3-2 win over Emporia State on Oct. 6. The four goals beat the Tigers' previous high of three this season against McPherson in a 3-0 victory on Sept. 20. The Tigers are now averaging 1.31 goals per game on 13.3 shots, while opponents are averaging 1.5 goals per game and 13 shots.
Kelsey Grey recorded her third shutout of the season in the 4-0 win. The freshman from Littleton, Colo. made two saves in the shutout. In her 16 starts, Grey has a 1.48 goals against average with a .788 save percentage. She has made 89 saves in the 16 games, while allowing 24 goals.
The Riverhawks are 10-3-3 on the season and have tied two straight games. In their latest game, NSU tied East Central, 0-0, and before that game tied Southwestern Oklahoma, 1-1. The Riverhawk offense averages two goals per game on 11.9 shots, while allowing 1.06 goals a game on 11.9 shots.
NSU's main offensive threat is Rachel Sordahl, who has 10 goals and five assists in 16 games. Her 25 points is a team-high and 16 points higher than the next Riverhawk player. Second in goals scored is Renee Valcarcel with four in 16 starts. Ashley Dolezel, Emily Voges and Jennifer Clark all add three goals apiece for the Riverhawks.
Deb Hill has made all 16 starts in goal for the Riverhawks. Hill has a 10-3-3 record, including four shutouts. The senior from Lafayette, La. allows 1.03 goals a game with a .825 save percentage. In her 16 games she has allowed 17 goals, while making 80 saves.
After Tuesday's game, the Tigers conclude their regular season with a home game on Saturday against Washburn at 6 p.m. at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.
