The Fort Hays State volleyball team concluded their 2011 season on Saturday (Nov. 12) in a three-set loss against No. 7 Central Missouri. The Jennies claimed at least a share of the MIAA Championship by downing the Tigers 25-9, 25-14, 25-17.

Fort Hays State had 25 kills but the same amount of hitting errors and had a hitting percentage of .000 for the match. Megan Glandon led the Tigers with eight kills and no other player had more than four. Tracie Hileman capped off her career with 16 more digs, giving her a final mark of 1,657 which ranks third in FHSU's NCAA Division II history.

Central Missouri finishes the regular season at 27-4 and 17-1 in the MIAA. Allie Huffman led the Jennies with a double-double of 13 kills and 13 digs.

Fort Hays State finished the year 17-16 and 5-13 in conference play, marking the first winning season for the program since 2005. The Tigers also had their  best conference mark since joining the MIAA in 2006.
