The Fort Hays State volleyball team was in action on Friday night (Sept. 16) at Pittsburg State. The Lady Tigers won the first set before dropping the match in five sets (25-22, 18-25, 20-25, 25-14, 12-15).

Sara Hewson led the Tigers with a double-double of 19 kills and 19 assists. Madison Schwartz added 14 while Jenna Ulrich and Kylee Hoagland each had 11. Kayla Zoglman once again had a strong match with 53 assists to set up the FHSU offensive attack. Six Tigers had at least 10 digs, led by Tracie Hileman with 26 and Zoglman with 22.

With the loss, Fort Hays State drops to 6-4 on the year and 0-2 in the MIAA. They return to action tomorrow (Sept. 17) at Missouri Western in a match starting at 4 pm.
