The Fort Hays State volleyball team finished with a 3-1 record at the Active Ankle Invite over the weekend in Sioux Falls, S.D. After defeating Sioux Falls and Black Hills State on Friday, the Tigers fell to South Dakota School of Mines on Saturday morning before rebounding that afternoon to down Minot State to close the tournament.

Fort Hays State relied on a balanced offensive attack over the weekend, with five players recording at least 20 kills, led by
Camille Hubert with 36 and
Sara Hewson with 27. Hewson also added 14 service aces in the four matches, including at least two in each match. For their efforts, both players were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Kayla Zoglman was instrumental in setting up the Tigers hitters, as she was credited with 133 assists in the four matches, an average of 10.2 assists per set.
The Tigers' 3-1 start to the season is the best by the team since 2005 when they opened the year with a 5-1 record. They will look to improve on that mark on Tuesday night (Sept. 6), when Oklahoma-Panhandle State comes to Gross Memorial Coliseum for a match starting at 6:00 p.m. Live stats for the match can be found
