The Fort Hays State women's soccer team welcomes two MIAA opponents to Hays this weekend. The Tigers take the pitch against Missouri Western on Thursday (Oct. 11) at 6 p.m. at the FHSU Soccer Stadium, and then on Saturday (Oct. 13), FHSU clashes with Northwest Missouri State at 11 a.m.
 
The Tigers, currently 7-5 and 3-4 in the MIAA, did not fare well on the road in Oklahoma last weekend, going 0-2 against Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State. No. 24 UCO defeated FHSU, 2-0, on Friday (Oct. 5) in Edmond, Okla., and Northeastern State used a late second overtime goal to win 2-1 on Sunday (Oct. 7) in Tahlequah, Okla. Ember Albertson scored the one Tiger goal against NSU.
 
Senior Sade Humphrey continues to lead the Tiger offense with six goals and adds three assists. Freshman Jordan Hester is second in goals and assists with four each. Alexis Aiman's six assists is a team-high, and she is tied in goals at three with Albertson.
 
The Griffons of Missouri Western are 4-7 overall and 2-5 in the MIAA. The two conference wins are against Emporia State (2-1 OT) and Lindenwood (2-1). The duo of Katie Kempf and Abby Widrig lead the Griffon offense. Kempf has a team-high four goals, and Widrig adds three. K.C. Ramsell leads in helpers with three assists. Kelly Voigts is the Griffons' goalkeeper with a 1.27 goals against average and .837 save percentage. She has two shutouts on the season.
 
Northwest Missouri State sits No. 3 in the MIAA with a 5-1-1 conference record and is 7-3-2 overall. On offense, Victoria Von Mende leads the Bearcat attack with seven goals and one assist. Amanda Bundrant, Chelsea Fournier and Elizabeth Walde add three goals apiece. Bundrant leads the Bearcats with three assists. Kelsey Adams has 10 starts in goal with a 1.45 goals against average and a .811 save percentage.
 
After this weekend, the Tigers take to the road for two MIAA matches. FHSU goes to Truman and Lindenwood on Oct. 19 and 21.
