Box Score After a scoreless first half, the Fort Hays State women's soccer team allowed two second half goals, falling 2-0 to No. 24 Central Oklahoma at Tom Thompson Field in Edmond, Okla. on Friday (Oct. 5). The Tigers drop to 7-4 and 3-3 in the MIAA, while UCO is 10-1-1 and 5-0-1 in the MIAA.
The Bronchos got on the scoreboard first in the 52nd minute as Alyssa Anderson scored from 20 feet out on the left side. Anderson added the insurance game late in the 88th minute, scoring from 30 yards out on a shot that went over FHSU's
Nicole Barnaba.
The first half was fairly even with each team getting off three shots. In the second half, UCO totaled 10 shots to three from the Tigers.
Nicole Barnaba started in goal for FHSU, making six saves and allowing the two goals. She is now 5-2 on the season.
The Tigers continue their Oklahoma road trip with a match on Sunday (Oct. 7) at Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Okla. at 11 a.m.
